FROM AANP:
Dear AANP member,
We have cause for celebration! Utah has just become the 27th state in the nation — along with the District of Columbia, Guam and the Mariana Islands — to enact Full Practice Authority for nurse practitioners (NPs)!
With the enactment of Utah Senate Bill 36, the governor and state legislators have brought full and direct access to NP-delivered care to patients across Utah. The American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP) congratulates all NPs and other stakeholders who educated the public and policymakers on the benefits of bringing Full Practice Authority to the state.

Utah is the fifth state to adopt Full Practice Authority with support from AANP in the last three years. It is an honor to advocate for patients to have full and direct access to the comprehensive, high-quality care NPs provide every day. To learn more about how AANP is advocating for you and how you can lend your voice to current efforts, check out the AANP Government Affairs Updates.
Thank you for your membership in AANP. Our strength is due to members like you who help support our patients and our profession.
Thank you,
